So, we have struck your interest. Good! TSAR has had many members through the years. Some active, some very active and some were names on the roster that few could remember what they looked like. Because of this, the TSAR members passed a by-law change that created separate and distinct categories of members. This was not done to cast out our members. They are:
Active- Those that attend a Minimum of two TSAR organized trainings a quarter and three membership meetings per year. An active status means that if you have attained a field qualification and have the min medical certifications, you can be called missions based on your availability request.
Inactive- Those that do not attend the required trainings or meetings for whatever reasons. You are allowed to attend any training or meeting but will not be called for missions.
We do Search and Rescue to help the victim. In order to do this, we all have to train and retrain for different skills, be it Land Navigation or litter handling. People that are active in TSAR put a lot of time and energy into this.
